  18.    Installing

  20.    Girder is very easy to install, either use the zipped version
  21.    and install Girder into some subdirectory, or use the install
  22.    version available on my homepage. Run Girder and set your 
  23.    hardware type in the settings dialog. And you're off.

  25.    Note: As of version 3.2.7 Girder comes with an Com server
  26.    for VB type languages. The installer automagically registers
  27.    the Com server however for the zip version you'll have to
  28.    manually do this:

  33.    Upgrading

  35.    If you are upgrading from a previous version of Girder 3.2 and 
  36.    are using the binary file format make sure that you export the
  37.    files as .GML files BEFORE upgrading, failing to do so might 
  38.    result in non-readable files because the binary files are NOT
  39.    compatible with other versions.

  41.    Localisation

  43.    Girder is fully internationalizable this has been done for 
  44.    serveral languages by various people over the globe. If your
  45.    language isn't included, you could translate Girder yourself.
  46.    I've written a tool to assist in the translation, it's 
  47.    available on my homepage. Of course once you translated 
  48.    Girder you could send me the translation, so I can include it
  49.    in the distribution.

  51.    It's also possible to translate the helpfile of Girder.
  52.    Uwe Heidrich was the first to offer his assistance, and he 
  53.    translated the helpfile to German!

  55.    Any of these translation will give you eternal fame and glory 
  56.    in the thanks section and the gratitude of thousands of people
  57.    in your country.

  75.    The plugins for Girder can be written in any language that 
  76.    supports C/C++ style STDCALLs and DLLs like Borland Delphi, 
  77.    MS Visual C++ etc. If you've written good plugins that are
  78.    of use to mandkind don't hesitate to send them to me. Either
  79.    in source or binary form. Be sure to download the developers
  80.    package from my homepage for examples how to make the 
  81.    plugins
